Bruno barrier

Barbed wire Bruno barrier

Bruno barrier is a highly effective obstacle made of barbed wire. Despite it has been invented more than a hundred years ago it is still successfully used for objects’ protection against malefactors’ encroachment. Spiral Bruno is much more strong and effective than single filaments of monobasic or dibasic barbed wire. Bruno spiral’s application enables ensuring reliable protection of an object against trespassing of perpetrators thanks to specific construction of the obstacle. The construction of Bruno spiral is also used for highly effective barriers – concertina obstacle of reinforced barbed tape.

Bruno barrier is twisted into spiral monobasic or dibasic barbed wire, neighboring coils of which are joined in several places by special clips. Folded Bruno spiral looks like an ordinary bundle of barbed wire and does not take a lot of place for storage; it is installed by stretching of the bundle and fixation on special holders. Stretched Bruno spiral represents a cylindrical obstacle of barbed wire with lozenge cells and vividly expressed spring-elastic properties.

Spiral Bruno opposes both overcoming endeavors and attempts of its destruction. It’s very difficult to overcome a concertina barbed barrier, a trespasser will be immediately entangled in its coils and though it is not difficult to cut barbed wire, in order to destruct the obstacle it is to be cut simultaneously in several points, solitary ruptures do not reduce protective properties of Bruno spiral. If shielding properties of spiral Bruno are not enough for reliable security more effective razor-barber barriers or Cobra made of razor wire Egoza should be better used.
